Popular TikTok creator Terryon Thomas, also known as Mr. Prada, has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated criminal damage to property, resisting an officer, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He refused to comply with officers during a traffic stop and allegedly backed into their car before fleeing. Thomas was arrested in Dallas and is awaiting extradition back to Baton Rouge.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook about a similar incident involving a stolen vehicle, asking for information about a person of interest who was believed to have driven the stolen vehicle. The vehicle is believed to belong to therapist William Nicholas Abraham, whose body was found wrapped in a tarp on the side of a highway. Law enforcement is investigating Abraham’s death as a homicide but has not named any suspects.
Social media posts speculated that Thomas was the person of interest in the Facebook post, leading to false claims that he was wanted for killing Abraham. Thomas, known for his comedic TikTok videos, had previously been accused of copying content from other creators.
Both Baton Rouge police and representatives for Thomas have not responded to requests for comment. Thomas, with nearly 4 million followers on TikTok, has gained notoriety for his videos but has faced criticism for allegedly replicating content from other creators.
