New Mexico in Focus, a prime-time news magazine show on NMPBS, delved into the potential impacts of Project 2025 on the lives of New Mexicans if Donald Trump wins the White House in November. Political psychologist Martha Burk and former state senator Dede Feldman discussed the differences and similarities between Project 2025 and Trump’s official policy platform, Agenda 47, with a focus on immigration and abortion rights.
The show also featured an interview with U.S. Rep. Teresa Leger Fernández, who discussed her work in addressing the economic needs of the communities she represents in D.C. Hosted by Executive Producer Jeff Proctor, the episode aired on Friday, Oct. 25 and Sunday, Oct. 27 on NMPBS 5.1 and was available for streaming on the PBS video app.
