Former President Trump is set to host a campaign rally in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but organizers have faced several obstacles in securing a location for the event. Initially planned for the Isleta Amphitheater parking lot, it was later revealed that the Trump campaign did not have the necessary permits to use the state land, forcing supporters to find alternative parking. The New Mexico State Land Commissioner, Stephanie Garcia Richard, emphasized that rules must be followed when using state land, and unauthorized permission from Live Nation, the company operating the amphitheater, was not granted.
Despite facing challenges with securing a venue, Trump’s rally is still scheduled to take place at the Sunport on Thursday morning. Republican leaders have accused Democrats of playing dirty politics, while Democratic representatives have reaffirmed their rejection of Trump’s politics of fear and division. Despite Vice President Kamala Harris holding a strong lead in New Mexico, top Democrats in the state remain focused on the upcoming presidential race.
Supporters attending the rally have been encouraged to park in three designated lots, including the airport shuttle lot, which will be free of charge. There will also be a dedicated drop-off location for Uber and Lyft. Despite the obstacles, Trump’s supporters are determined to attend the event and show their support for the former president.
