Jason Quinn has been promoted to director of engineering at New Mexico PBS after serving as the manager of broadcast technology. The general manager and CEO, Franz Joachim, announced the promotion, citing Quinn’s exceptional leadership skills. In his new role, Quinn will be responsible for maintaining and developing translator sites and facilities, ensuring that the NMPBS signal covers most of the state.
Quinn’s promotion comes after years of dedication and exceptional service to the University of New Mexico. He was recently recognized with the Gerald W. May Staff Recognition Award for distinguished service and dedication. Quinn’s commitment to the community and innovation were key factors in his promotion.
His colleagues remember Quinn’s selfless service, such as handling a critical outage on Christmas Eve and building tower sites for the Navajo Nation. Joachim expressed his confidence in Quinn’s ability to lead and congratulated him on his promotion. Quinn expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and pledged to continue serving NMPBS to the best of his abilities.
