Aragon struck out a season-high eight batters, securing the win for the Aggies.
The victory marked NM State’s 21st win over LA Tech overall, and they improved to 6-9 on the road in the series. The win also boosted their record to 2-2 in true road games this season. Despite scoring five or fewer runs in their last three games, the Aggies have been successful in securing victories.
Head Coach Kathy Rodolph praised Aragon’s performance and emphasized the team’s depth and leadership. Aragon credited her improved mentality for her success on the mound. Looking ahead to Sunday’s game, Rodolph highlighted the importance of strong pitching to secure a third win.
