Queer Scientist Faces Charges for Alleged Firebombing of Tesla Dealership and GOP Office in New Mexico

Jamison Wagner, a self-identified “queer scientist,” has been charged by the Department of Justice for the firebombings of a Tesla dealership and the Republican Party headquarters in Albuquerque. Wagner is accused of setting fire to Tesla cars and vandalizing the dealership with graffiti, as well as setting fire to the Republican Party office and writing “ICE=KKK” on the building. This arrest is part of the Trump administration’s crackdown on attacks on Tesla dealerships. Wagner, a registered Democrat and supporter of left-wing causes, is also a member of “500 Queer Scientists.” Authorities found incendiary devices and other evidence at Wagner’s residence, leading to his charges of malicious damage or destruction of property by fire or explosives, which could result in up to 20 years in prison. Attorney General Pam Bondi emphasized that political violence will not be tolerated and that those responsible will face consequences. Wagner’s social media postings indicate his support for Black Lives Matter and his work as a scientist at a national laboratory. This arrest serves as a warning to those engaging in such violent activities that they will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
