Aggies fight hard until the end in CUSA Tournament opener


In the first round of the 2025 Conference USA Men’s Tennis Championship, NM State fell to Kennesaw State with a final score of 4-1. The Aggies started strong in doubles play, with Tobias Wallin and Gustavo Campos winning their match at No. 2 doubles. However, Kennesaw State secured the doubles point by winning on courts one and three.

In singles play, freshman Holland Snell quickly evened the score with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles. Despite Snell’s win, Kennesaw State responded with victories at the bottom and top of the lineup to claim the overall victory. NM State’s Matias Rojas and Lance Urlaub fought hard on courts four and five but their matches went unfinished once the team result was decided.
