The New Mexico State track and field team concluded their final day at the Beach Invite in Long Beach, California with four athletes competing. Alesha Lane led the team in Discus, finishing 15th overall with a throw of 47.38m. Kamryn Cadle had the best shotput mark for the Aggies with a throw of 13.90m on her final attempt. Aileen Alvarado represented NM State in high jump, clearing 1.58m before falling short at 1.63m.
The team’s schedule for the day included events like discus, high jump, and shot put. Looking ahead, the sprint squad will head to LSU for the Alumni Gold Invitational while the rest of the team will compete in Albuquerque at the Don Kirby Twilight hosted by New Mexico Lobos.
