Harvard students take cover after shooting at subway platform

Transit police in Boston are investigating a shooting incident at Harvard University’s subway platform that prompted the school to issue a shelter-in-place order for students and staff. The shooting involved a man firing four to five rounds at a targeted individual before fleeing the station. Luckily, there were no injuries reported. Passengers were rerouted to shuttle buses as police from different departments searched for the suspect. The incident occurred at the Harvard Square station, near the school’s main campus in Cambridge. The incident was reported around 2:15 p.m., and a message was sent to the Harvard community urging people to shelter in place until further notice. Police were searching the area around the station following the incident. The shelter-in-place order was later lifted, and the message was removed from Harvard’s website. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing as authorities work to identify and apprehend the suspect responsible.
