NM State Returns Home to Host Middle Tennessee in Key Conference Series

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After a midweek trip to Albuquerque, NM State baseball is set to host Middle Tennessee at Presley Askew Field for a crucial Conference USA series. The Aggies and the Blue Raiders will face off with identical overall records, but NM State currently holds a three-game lead in the league standings. The series comes with heavy implications for the upcoming conference tournament.

The first pitch is set for Friday at 6:02 p.m., followed by games on Saturday at 4:02 p.m. and Sunday at 11:02 a.m. The Aggies have a 9-10 record against MTSU in previous matchups and will aim to continue their dominance on their home field.

NM State, led by freshman Boston Vest and standout Mitch Namie, has shown strength at home with multiple walk-off wins this season. The Aggies have been formidable in Sunday games and have avoided being swept in all nine weekend series so far.

The Aggies will look to continue their success at Presley Askew Field, with the bullpen showcasing dominance and newer players stepping up to replace departed starters. Head Coach Jake Angier and his staff, which includes former Aggie players, are determined to lead the team to success in their second season together.

This weekend’s series with Middle Tennessee will have a significant impact on the Conference USA Championships in May, making every game crucial for both teams. Fans can catch the action live at Presley Askew Field or follow the game updates on KRUX 91.5 FM.
