ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – In a challenging outing on Saturday, San José State suffered a significant 19-3 defeat against New Mexico at Santa Ana Star Field, marking their second game in a three-game series. The game was halted after seven innings.
Jeriah Lewis shone amidst the team’s struggles, hitting a two-RBI triple, bringing his season total to a leading 29 RBIs. Neil Jansen contributed significantly with a 2-for-3 performance, including a double and a run scored, while Rocco Caballero also excelled with a 2-for-4 outing, boosting his series stats to an impressive 6-for-8. Jared Lewis notched his first RBI of the season, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.
