Young Pageant Hopeful Gears Up for Miss Elementary America

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — At just 5 years old, Amrie Garcia is preparing to compete for the title of Miss Elementary America, a mini Miss USA pageant aimed at young children. Her mother, Tiara Garcia, has been cultivating Amrie’s passion for pageantry since infancy, setting the stage for her daughter’s debut in larger national and international competitions.

The duo has been in rigorous training since February for the Miss Elementary America pageant, scheduled to take place in Little Rock, Arkansas, from June 28 to July 2. Their preparation has included trips to Nashville for coaching and fittings in Mississippi and Tennessee, showcasing Amrie’s growing presence on social media.

Recently, Amrie was invited to walk in New York City for the Wizardly Lion Couture Collection, where she donned a costume inspired by the Cowardly Lion. As part of the pageant’s platform project requirement, the pair has authored a children’s book titled Sugar and Spice and a Little Bit of Amrie’s Nice, available for purchase on Amazon.

With two months remaining until the pageant, Amrie remains focused, stating simply, "I’ll practice my walk," all while beaming with excitement.
