New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services Announces Free Veterans Conference
SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services (NMDVS) is excited to announce a free veterans’ conference scheduled for Saturday, May 3, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Buffalo Thunder Resort in the Pueblo Ballroom. This event aims to foster community among veterans, family members, service providers, and advocates statewide.
Attendees can look forward to a variety of breakout sessions specifically tailored for tribal and women veterans. State Benefits personnel will be available to assist eligible veterans and unmarried widows with applications for property tax waivers, exceptions, and park passes. Additionally, Certified Veteran Service Officers will provide support for VA benefits claims, healthcare eligibility, disability compensation, and state benefits.
