ITV and Jet2holidays Launch Star-Studded Travelogue Series "The Great Escapers"

ITV is set to embark on a new adventure with the announcement of "The Great Escapers," a primetime travelogue series produced in collaboration with Jet2holidays. The show, consisting of four hour-long episodes, will feature beloved celebrities from ITV programs including "Coronation Street," "I’m A Celebrity…," "The Chase," and "Loose Women," as they embark on vacations to some of Europe’s most stunning destinations like Greece, Spain, Portugal, and Malta.

In "The Great Escapers," three celebrities each episode will compete to provide their peers with the ultimate holiday experience. With the assistance of a friendly Jet2holidays customer helper stationed overseas, the stars will navigate exciting activities and challenges. At the conclusion of each trip, the stars will vote on who orchestrated the most memorable day, with the winner being crowned "The Greatest Escaper."

Katie Rawcliffe, ITV’s director of entertainment and daytime, expressed her enthusiasm: “We’ve got some of ITV’s best-known faces flying out to the most gorgeous destinations in this brand new series.”

In addition to "The Great Escapers," ITV is also preparing for the launch of "Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters," coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the classic film "Jaws." This thrilling series will feature celebrities including Ade Adepitan and Helen George as they dive with various shark species in the Bahamas, where they’ll encounter increasingly larger and more dangerous sharks. The show is produced by Plimsoll Productions and will also broadcast on ITV1, ITVX, STV, and STV Player.

Both shows promise to deliver excitement and entertainment for viewers, showcasing unforgettable experiences against world-renowned backdrops.
