Celebrate Pride Safely: Events and Safety Measures in New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — As June marks Pride Month, exciting events are lined up this weekend in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and throughout Bernalillo County. The highly anticipated Albuquerque Pride Parade kicks off on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Central and Girard, followed by a festival at Albuquerque Civic Plaza starting at 2 p.m. For ticket information, attendees can visit the event’s official website.

Additionally, Southern Tiwa Territories will host the inaugural Rad Pride in Tiguex Park from 2-6 p.m., featuring a rally, mutual aid, free food, and performances.

Bernalillo County encourages participants to celebrate responsibly. To promote safety, an Uber ride voucher program is available from Friday at 10 a.m. to Monday at 2 a.m., allowing partygoers to redeem a code, PRIDE25, for up to $10 off two rides. This offer is limited to 1,500 rides on a first-come, first-served basis and does not apply to Uber Eats or driver tips.

Join the celebration and ensure a safe and memorable Pride experience this weekend!
